Must Have Makeup Brushes

When I was a starter in makeup, there were no such things as makeup brushes! It's either you apply it with a sponge or with your hands! Believe it or not!

When I was in college, that's when makeup brushes appeared. Makeup brands from the Philippines do not have a wide variety of brushes, they usually have five or six: a blush/contour/highlighter/powder brush, a thick brow brush, a lip brush, an eyeshadow brush, and a brow comb brush. And this five brushes don't do so much since they are mostly on powdered products ~ how about liquids???!!! And so the video was made!!!

Overprotected! Stop It!!!

Honestly, I am fed up with my grandfather treating my younger brother as a pre-elementary level boy! Hello, the person is 18 years old and will be an incoming 3rd year student. I have nothing against my younger brother for being the favorite grandson ~ it actually gives me an advantage because I hate being eyed on.

 Protected or Suffocated???!!!

Anyway, tomorrow is the nth celebration of the EDSA revolution ~ the event when whatever. Wikipedia or Google it for more info. My younger brother has to do a few interviews with certain participants. My aunt told me to accompany him since granddaddy has declined to grant permission! How low can that get!!!

Granddaddy has to know that his grandson took mass communication ~ that is a college program that is high-risk! If this kind of treatment will go on, my brother should like stop studying altogether. I mentioned to my aunt that, "He will never grow!"

I have many problems at the moment: bills, unemployment, and many others ~ I don't want to add my granddaddy's being overprotected to my brother to be one of them. Please! Stop It!!!

An Unexpected, But Timely, Video Project

Do you still recall me looking for a job ~ well... I'm still in the hoping ~ and my face is tired of the waiting... because while I'm waiting, I'm pimpling!!! Seriously!!!

Anyway, I was planning on a photo shoot (not with Mr. Mike Ruiz or something: all the photo shooting, the editing... all by yours truly ~ I've been trying to be creative during my indefinite leave) but had to cancel it... yup, cancel... because my skin is making too much trouble. A small pimple would be easy to flatten, but I have three at my nose... and since there are shots that require me to be in a pose that... *Uhm ~ I might give too much*... I  just decided to cancel it for the moment.And yes, the "Must Have Makeup Brushes" will have to be cancelled, too... for the moment.

But, there is nothing to worry about because I will be posting a video about my ~ acne. I know, it's not a very comfortable topic to talk about... but what the heck ~ there are people who tell me that I have great skin... and at the said video, you'll know who's who, what's what, how's how, and what you all don't want to know!!! *Just kidding!*

Anyway, I'm going to bed so I can start as soon as possible.

Family Picture

I don't have a family picture where the Villaverde-Albiento family is complete...

I was also thinking of how to make an "About Me" video where no one will see 'just me'... kinda boring if it's about me... then all you can see is me!!!

Anyway, the video concept is kind of cartoon childish... but I see it's getting good feedback from my friends!!! So, here it is!!!

Yup, we're a big happy family!!!

So, I drew some clothes of a somewhat 'paper doll' then scanned it. Took photos of various fabrics in my closet and edited it using PhotoShop!!! And I'm very well pleased with the results!!! The 5 hours editing was worth it for the family picture!!! I just hope, the video goes the same!!!

On Canon Digital Cameras

I've had Canon PowerShot SX 230 HS for about seven months now ~ and let me tell you... I love it!!! Well, I love most of it ~ although sometimes, it doesn't get the best shots all the time... you know???!!!

My current camera, the Canon PowerShot SX 230 HS... too advanced for a point and shoot for someone like me!!! But I love it!!! =)

The camera is too advanced... well, for someone like me ~ considering it's a point and shoot, I find it to be advanced... the knob has so many features on it!!! And most of them, I don't even use!!! =D

 I'm somehow nerdy... but not too much!!! =D

Anyway, I was working on it last Saturday and found out a few things... there is a specific something you have to select so that you can get good pictures with a flash especially at dark areas... ISO 3200-6400 though is not the best at 100% size, but for the full screen, it looks quite decent.

Anyway, something I'm off about is that for a camera worth PhP 17900++ (before customs) is that it is only 12.1 megapixels!!! Gosh!!! By the way, I need high resolution photos since I do retouching ~ and it's quite obvious since the camera gets very sharp shots.

 The Canon PowerShot SX 260 HS, will sell for about USD 350 (PHP 15,750)... therefore, the SX 230 HS' price will go down...

Anyway, I was browsing through GSM Arena a while ago and found out that Canon will be releasing a 20x optical zoom camera which is almost like this ~ the SX 260 HS... I like, want to upgrade ~ since mine is about 14x optical zoom. By the way, I like how the top looks like since the camel hump GPS is not totally gone ~ but flattened!!!

The Canon PowerShot SX 40 HS comes with a multi-angle LCD screen, which is great for YouTube videos!!!

But I'm also thinking, since I do YouTube videos, I don't want to spend for a separate video camera... So one thing I found out is the SX 40 HS which costs about PHP 29,998 (USD 666.62) ~ ok for 35x optical zoom and a swivel LCD (I just hoped for a 16:9 resolution) but for a 12.1 megapixel camera???!!! I don't think so!!! The weight is like 3 times of my camera, so I don't know how to hide it from someone inspecting my bag ~ especially at concerts!!! =|

Anyway, I'll be happy with what I currently have, I just hope I get a job soon so I can get a better one. Can anyone suggest a good brand with good specifications???!!! =D

Battle of the 64 GB: iPhone 4S or iPod Touch???!!!

I know that this phone has come out of the market last year ~ I find that it is much better than its predecessor in a way that it has a voice-operated personal assistant and a 64 GB variant. I am still thinking if this is a good deal or if I should just go with an iPod touch 64 GB which is about 1/3 the price.

 Very good looking phone, very expensive price!

Anyway, the iPhone 4S went out when I was still working at my previous employer and I found it to be a very good looking phone. I want something touch screen with wi-fi and all that jazz... but I guess this will be a very hot phone to phone snatching good for nothings.

I don't know, do you think this phone is worth the price of PhP 46,000 (USD 1022.22) for 64 GB or should I just go for an iPod touch 64 GB???!!!

Microsoft Office 97 and Old Clip Art!!!

Who would knew that amidst all new software, I will still be able to obtain a copy of Microsoft Office '97???!!! That's so cool!!! I miss this version of PowerPoint!!!

Microsoft Clip Art Gallery 3.0 with Microsoft PowerPoint 97 running in Windows 7!!!

In my opinion, I prefer this clip art gallery over the newer versions since clips are easier to find. Also, most of the clips here are my fave (especially screen beans!!!) ~ I used to tell my mom to print some of these for me during my elementary days. These clips make a bit more sense than the ones I see in later version of Microsoft Office... although they look good!!! =D

This February, I have mentioned to my friend and co-YouTuber, ThexxAcnexxChick a.k.a. Ms. Athena, that I will be making some makeup tutorials on my channel. By the way, subscribe to her ~ if you have acne, she has her own take and it's on her own perspective!!! I don't talk about acne ~ just about myself!!! *Joke!!!*

Let's face the mirror... you could have or could have had one pimple in your life!!! I had 5 consecutive pimples at the same spot at the right side of my nose!!!

Anyway, I don't feel the stress unlike when I was still employed. I'm somehow relaxed ~ but the thought of having just about more or less PHP 3,000 (~ USD 66.67) for paying the internet bill... maybe is the reason I'm breaking out ~ NOT COMING OUT!!! Or another reason is that I was shaving my face with a disposable razor for the past two weeks... I have stopped now and I will NEVER use that contraption on my face ever again!!! I will pluck like what some tricycle drivers do!!! =D

 I know... he's not shaving ~ but looking into a mirror with facial hair is not a girl's best dream!!! =D

So, I will just let the pimple formation on my face go down... I mean, in real life ~ I have no issues with that... but I want to make sure that I look great on camera... I mean, images are forever ~ the more with videos!!!

I wish my camera had the functionality to flip its LCD monitor ~ so I no longer have to look at the mirror!!!

YouTube Issues

I think that the title of the post is so... well, it is what it is... YouTube issues!!!

Yup! I visit the site every day... I'm on it actually!!!

Just a few months before I actually signed an account with YouTube... and even up to this moment, YouTube is one of my most visited websites. I check the freaking site every single day ~ but that's not just to check if my video 'Grow Your Eyebrows Back' is actually getting more hits ~ but that's where I learn to do stuff, too!

The updates started with YTs appearance and I found that difficult!!! It's showing about several recently uploaded videos from your subscriptions... but that's not the issue. What I'm encountering, well (not recently) is that when you click the pause button (of the YT player) or if you click on the YT player screen to pause... it will pause for a few seconds then it will seek to the end!!! That's annoying!!!

Here is my status message on my Facebook page ~ make sure to click Like!!! =)

"I'm watching some of the people I'm subscribed to on YouTube... when I click the play screen to pause ~ it usually seeks to the end!!! And the large player does not always work???!!! Does this only happen to me???!!!

If not ~ Dear YouTube developers ~ stop doing so much upgrade to the appearance... we're not after the looks *that much* ~ just the videos!!!"
