I heard the words 'call center' since third year high school... and for some reason, even if people mentioned that the pay it offers has great perks, I still didn't buy it.
Honestly, I don't like this job... but I have to slap a smile on my face to sound friendly... So plastic!!!
So, upon desperation, I worked at a call center ~ Sykes Marketing, still recall???!!! Then I got sick... Then, after several months, I worked at another call center ~ Sykes Asia, just recent. But after knowing that I would be terminated after 5 months... I decided that this career path ends there. Last year, 2011, I know that it's not for me, so I applied at several call centers ~ but upon the entry of 2012... I have cancelled all of them. Not that I don't want to work (I really do, honestly)... I just don't want to be there anymore.
I believe that seven months is long enough...
What I realized in the span of seven months is that the pay ~ might be higher than that of an average clerical job... and it totally changes everything! I am like... it's so difficult to explain.
My mom advised me to try something else... and I think she's right...
Anyway, I have applied at some financial institutions ~ I know it might be a bit difficult to enter here, but who knows???!!! It might not be aligned with my college degree but I make sure I learn from it... learn to be humble.
