Spending Wisely... and Wishlist!!!

I withdrew half-month's salary 4 days after it became available... and well, it took me less than an hour to spend it all!!! But I don't have any regrets ~ I hope!!!

Anyway, I think that half of what I bought for this cut-off was a necessity than the other half I spent it on. So, I spent 2,850 on purchasing 240 capsules/ tablets of fat-burners!!! Well... I have that for personal reasons!!!

Anyway, I also bought an A3-sized paper cutter, some of mom's office supplies, a new pair of shoes (sneakers ~ because the one I had needs to retire... it's been 3 years of wear and tear!!!) and a pair of flip-flops for outside the house (it's raining and flooding this time of year).

So basically, I am learning more on how to spend a little bit more wisely than before... I actually don't know what I spent on before (aside from my previous online purchases)... anyway, I still have a wishlist to follow.

Anyway, here are the things that I'm planning to buy or whatever in the future (in no particular order!!!):

Beauty, Health and fitness
-Epilator (electric plucker!)
-Scar remover
-Teeth straightening
-Teeth whitening kit
-Wart removal (yup! I have these...)
-Vidal Sassoon hair dryer
-Vidal Sassoon Goddess hair iron!!! =D
-LASIK procedure

Office equipment/ furniture
-A4 laminating machine
-Aluminum computer chair
-Mobile pedestal
-Wireless router
-Computer table
-Desktop PC (Intel Core i3 or i5)
-27-inch monitor, 2560 x 1440 resolution

Bedroom improvement
-Floor tiles
-Air cushion
-Wall mirror
-24/ 32" LED television
-Wall bracket for TV
-Industrial fan or air cooler
-Shutters Entertainment
-Canon video camera
-Chroma key backdrop (green and blue)
-Backdrop stand
-Softbox lights (with stand)

And many more to come!!! But before completing most of this, I have to pay in advance a year's worth internet bill!!! =D

On the Other Side...

There are times in life we always want, and want, and want... then there are these people...

A woman striving to live

Growing in a middle-class family, I, at times, get what I've always wanted ~ especially if I had good grades. When I was a child, well... there are things that I just took for granted. But when I grew up... there were realities that I didn't even want to accept... such as that above.

Then yesterday afternoon, I saw this photo. Looking at it picture may seem like... someone selling their merchandise on the street. To me, it was totally different. The photo above shows me an old woman who may be supporting her family, may be sending her grandchildren to school so that they won't have to experience such poverty.

I have never lived such a life where we had to wake up early in the morning to harvest vegetables, at the fields under the hot sun, then sell them at the streets or at a local market to earn a living... I never experienced what my dad had to just so that he could go to school.

Anyway, it was hurtful to see such photo... we don't have people like these in the place I live (just not sure about other parts of the Philippines). It also makes me thankful for what I already have... and maybe if I had just a bit more, I could help people like these (such as purchasing their merchandise). I don't blog so much about these things but for some reason it stroke a chord... I shared this entry not only on my personal page but also on my fan page on Facebook.

Anyway... if you've read this entry... I hope it makes you thankful in many ways. G'day.

Goodbye Ebony

Ebony
(31 May 2010 - 10 March 2012)
This morning, I saw my cat Ebony staying at the computer room a few moment before I went to bed... I didn't mind him so much although I want to keep an eye on him ~ you know male cats spray pee on furniture... and he might do it on a monitor I haven't even paid yet.
Fresh from the santan bush

Anyway, Ebony was a cat that my mom found in a santan bush just on front of our house. He was a cat who is black (actually, a very dark shade of brown) with white on his chest. He was actually one of our cats who looks the weirdest because when my mom showed him to me for the first time, he looked like a bat on her pillow! Also, he was one of the cats with the weirdest physical appearance - his tail was bent like a cane and moves as one piece... when he walks past our orange-meshed trash bin, his tail will hook it and he drags it along with him!!! =D

Ebony when he was still new... almost blended with my black floor tiles.

Anyway, he was just a sweet boy who usually stayed with MiMon (one of our cats) before their pre-courting days... but that way back 2010.

Ebony with MiMon

Anyway, today while we were at church, my aunt told mom through a text message that Ebony was 'dying'. At first ~ I didn't mind it because my aunt tends to over-exaggerate everything... just like what I do. But later on, she messaged again that he was already dead... in my bed room.

Brothers???!!!

The cause of death is unknown. He was in his normal appearance ~ he's skinny but that's his built ever since... Mom told me that he didn't eat this morning, which is occasional. Anyway, like most stray cats... we hoped he enjoyed his stay here for almost two years.

Here are some pictures I took in the past with him and our other cats.

Must Have Makeup Brushes

When I was a starter in makeup, there were no such things as makeup brushes! It's either you apply it with a sponge or with your hands! Believe it or not!

When I was in college, that's when makeup brushes appeared. Makeup brands from the Philippines do not have a wide variety of brushes, they usually have five or six: a blush/contour/highlighter/powder brush, a thick brow brush, a lip brush, an eyeshadow brush, and a brow comb brush. And this five brushes don't do so much since they are mostly on powdered products ~ how about liquids???!!! And so the video was made!!!

Here, you will know the six must have makeup brushes suitable for beginners and frequent travelers!!! =D

Overprotected! Stop It!!!

Honestly, I am fed up with my grandfather treating my younger brother as a pre-elementary level boy! Hello, the person is 18 years old and will be an incoming 3rd year student. I have nothing against my younger brother for being the favorite grandson ~ it actually gives me an advantage because I hate being eyed on.

 Protected or Suffocated???!!!

Anyway, tomorrow is the nth celebration of the EDSA revolution ~ the event when whatever. Wikipedia or Google it for more info. My younger brother has to do a few interviews with certain participants. My aunt told me to accompany him since granddaddy has declined to grant permission! How low can that get!!!

 EDSA Revolution Overview

Granddaddy has to know that his grandson took mass communication ~ that is a college program that is high-risk! If this kind of treatment will go on, my brother should like stop studying altogether. I mentioned to my aunt that, "He will never grow!"

I have many problems at the moment: bills, unemployment, and many others ~ I don't want to add my granddaddy's being overprotected to my brother to be one of them. Please! Stop It!!!
